Our first stop on our road trip and we had supper at Bordeaux restaurant. We shared the Skaapstertjies which was so juicy and tender. Then the 3 of us had Boontjie-bredie, Chicken pie and Lamb curry. Incredibly tasty and big portions were given. We went to our guest house very full but very content.
I spent 2 nights in Colesberg and had supper both evenings at Bordeaux and can honestly say that I wish we had a restaurant that serves real country food of this quality in Capetown. The first night I ordered the Venison Pie with Samp and Veg. It was absolutely outstanding. The second night I ordered the curried mutton tripe. This is my favorite meal and they didn't disappoint. I finished off my meal with a peacannut pie and cream which was delicious. Value for money is also excellent. The staff are extremely attentive and friendly. The added bonus was the lovely fireplace!!
Best EVER CLEAN FOOD from the farm.. very affordable prices.Staff are GREAT.Always stop here on my route from Gauteng to Capetown
What a gem of a place. The cooking that makes you miss your grandma. With a selection of boerekos meals that makes your mouth water. I had the steak with chips and veg. I would seriously recommend the veggies for every meal. Set in one of the first houses that was built in the 1880's. Just rich in history and the food matches it. Yum
Delicious food! Had the vegetarian Lasagna and a Tbone Steak. Very friendly staff, highly recommended coming here for dinner.
What a great place to be after traveling for 6 hours. Food is great and beers are really cold. People complain about the service, but ours was great. Anyway the longer you wait the more beer you can drink. Will definitely return when in the area again.
Awesome food, did not expect this in such a small town. Awesome service, well priced. Next time I travel to or back from Cape Town this is the place!
On our long trip to George from Bloemfontein we stopped at this little joint and we have 0 complaints. Food is top notch, we had the cheese burger with a home made patty that was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Bun was nicely toasted. Fruit shake was to die for and thier caffee latte was one of the best we have had. Highly recommend this place.
